Thank you for your participation and involvement in the 5th Vegan Day at the University of Warsaw! On 7 June 2024, a meeting was held with the Minister of Climate and Environment Mikołaj Dorożała, Dr. Karolina Zioło- Pużuk, Warsaw City Councillor, Sylwia Mróz, Ochota District Councillor and Dr. Joanna Kamińska. Other participants in the discussion included: dr. Alicja Baska, Morgan Janowicz, Marzena Wichniarz.

The event started with an opening ceremony with Minister of Climate and Environment Mikołaj Dorożał, a screening of the Green REV Institute’s report ‘Dining on Despair’. ‘Dining on Despair’ and a debate with European Parliament candidates, female politicians, experts and activists.

The debate ‘Plant school, green transformation’ with the participation of:

• Dr. Karolina Zioło-Pużuk – Warsaw City Councillor, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, social and political activist.
• Sylwia Anna Mróz, Councillor of the Ochota District of the City of Warsaw.
• dr. Joanna Kamińska, Candidate for the European Parliament.
• dr. Alicja Baska, Polish Society for Lifestyle Medicine.
• Marzena Wichniarz, Parents for Climate and Future Food 4 Climate Coalition.
• Morgan Janowicz, Partnership Coordinator of the Green REV Institute and Director of the Future Food 4 Climate Coalition.

The debate was moderated by Dr Anna Buncler – Rector’s Team for Ecology and Climate Crisis, University of Warsaw.
