Kielce Councilor asks about food waste
Kielce Councilor Michal Braun has addressed an interpellation regarding the city’s policy on food waste. The interpellation came about after the Food Waste Roundtable organized by our coalition, Future Food 4 Climate!
The councilor asks about the city government’s policies and procedures on countering food waste in units under the City Council, monitoring the scale of the food waste problem by the city government, and educational activities undertaken.
Local food policies (today only the Capital City of Warsaw has a draft), are the basis for local government action for a sustainable food system. Councilors who take up the debate and action for a sustainable food system are pioneers of local efforts to transform and repair the food system.
