Ana Béjar is a member of the board of directors of the Spanish political party for animals, PACMA, managing the areas of administration and international relations. She was candidate for the 2015 Madrid elections of 2015 and the general, municipal and autonomous elections of 2019. And first on the list of her political party for the nomination for Mayor of Madrid in May 2023.
She has extensive professional experience in corporate communications in environmental companies, in a European and international level.
She has collaborated with different environmental organisations and animal rights campaigns. In 2011, together with other activists, she formed the animal rights group of the 15-M movement, also called Spanish revolution, a turning point for the animal rights movement in that country.
