Ziggy Klazes is a journalist and member of the Haarlem City Council on behalf of GroenLinks (since 2014). She is deputy chairman of the municipal council and a member of the presidium.

As a member of the development committee, her main focus is on the sustainability of the built environment. In addition, she is actively involved in researching and increasing the role of local governments in major transitions, including the shift to a plant-based diet.
