On 11 October, MEPs sent a question on EU SFS legislation requiring a written answer to the European Commission. The written question was sent by 6 MEPs: Dr Sylwia Spurek, Sarah Wiener, Benoît Biteau, Pierre Larrouturou, Sirpa Pietikäinen and Anja Hazekamp. The question to the EC is as follows:

• Can the European Commission confirm that it will present an ambitious proposal for an EU legal framework for sustainable food systems before the end of the year?
