27 października 2023

On 25.10, civil society organisations including the Green REV Institute, partners of the FF4C Coalition and the scientific community from around the world sent an call to the President of the #KE, Ursula von der Leyen, not to postpone the work on the EU legislation for sustainable food systems (FSFS).

The call points out that „Failure to present the FSFS proposal means breaking the promises made to EU citizens and women, who are increasingly looking for affordable, healthy and sustainable food.”

A total of 103 civil society organisations and 24 academics signed the joint letter;

As a reminder, EU legislation for sustainable food systems was due to be presented by the EC in September this year. On 11 October, 6 MEPs, including MEP Dr. Sylwia Spurek addressed the European Commission through a question requiring a written answer asking what happened to the legislation and what is its future.
