Dr. Sylwia Spurek & Bartek Sabela
As part of the Mountain of Literature Festival, a meeting was held between Green REV Institute founder Dr. Sylwia Spurek and Bartek Sabela writer, hosted by Karolina Kuszlewicz.
The real, authentic and challenging conversation exposed the secrets of the animal production sector: the suffering of billions of animals, green and humane washing, profits over compassion and the objectification of animal production victims.
Karolina Kuszlewicz: “”The ramp, the gas chamber, the testing of gassing engines, the disappearance of millions of lives every hour – does this remind you of anything?” – we asked yesterday from the stage during the Mountain of Literature Festival. It was a great honor for me to host this conversation with Sylwia Spurek and Bartek Sabela. The starting point was “The Wandering of the Carcass” by Bartek, but also on the table was Sylwia’s book “Stench, Blood and Tears. Turn on the thinking, be the change” – both items describing in detail the harm to animals caused by human lust. There are also nightmarish environmental effects, including on biodiversity. In this talk, I wanted non-human animals to be at the center. To tell the story of their life and death. And then to raise questions about whether, given the evidence, we are finally able to consider this machinery of annihilation of billions of sentient beings as a mass crime? More – as annihilation.”
