REV joins stakeholders of European Food Safety Agency
The Green REV Institute has been added to the list of registered stakeholders of EFSA, the European Food Safety Agency.
EFSA is an agency of the European Union established in 2002 to serve as an impartial source of scientific advice to risk managers and to communicate risks associated with the food supply chain. It works with stakeholders to promote consistency in EU scientific advice. It is to provide the scientific basis for laws and regulations that protect European consumers from food-related risks – from field to table.
As REV, we advocate for the right to healthy, sustainable, ethical food. Today’s food system poses threats to public health (diet-related diseases, pandemics, antibiotic resistance, food poverty, zoonoses), climate and the environment, animals and people. Institutions need science and activism to change and fix the food system.
