The reportage ‘Dining on Despair’, directed by Dr Marcin Anaszewicz and produced by the Green REV Institute, was selected as the best short documentary film at the international film festival – the Green Film Festival.

The award was received at the award ceremony by Prof. Piotr Skubala, member of the Green REV Institute’s Expert Council and protagonist of the documentary. Prof. Piotr Skubała introduced the audience to the world of science and what it tells us today in relation to the food production system, which is based on animal production. Prof. Piotr Skubała, as part of a report by the Plant Treaty and Green REV Institute titled ‘The Food Production System. ‘Safe and Just’ said: ‘Never in the history of humanity have we as a species been at such a time and place. Never before in our existence on this planet have we faced such a challenge. How many more warnings, appeals, analyses will be needed from global science for politicians and business to finally take action to give us a chance to continue to exist safely on Earth? Will reforming the food system towards a plant-based diet be among them?’
