Report – Dr. Anita Krajnc
The Green REV Institute and the Plant Based Treaty present the Polish version of the report ‘Safe & Just’. The report, presented in its English version at the COP28 climate summit, highlights the urgent need to transform the food system to a more sustainable, plant-based one in order to stop further environmental degradation. Kate Raworth’s concept of circular economics, on which the report is based, points to the need for a holistic approach to change.
Dr Anita Krajnc: ‘Global per capita consumption of meat, dairy and eggs has accelerated since the 1950s, contributing to the violation of five planetary boundaries, in particular climate change, land use change, biodiversity, phosphorus and nitrogen, and water consumption.’
