Common Agricultural Policy – Call to action to MEPs
On April 22-25, 2024, during the last plenary session of the European Parliament, there will be a vote that will decide whether we will have access to healthy, wholesome food. If this issue is important to you, send a message to MEPs. We have prepared a campaign with Democracy Action so that we can act now, even before the vote.
We are calling for opposition to the proposed changes and the Commission’s proposal for changes to the Common Agricultural Policy. The European Union is a community of all sectors of society, and the Common Agricultural Policy is supposed to support access to healthy, high-quality food for all, protect the climate and biodiversity, and take care of farmers.
We urge you to vote against the EP and Council Regulation amending Regulations (EU) 2021/2115 and (EU) 2021/2116 with regard to standards for good agricultural and environmental conditions, climate, environmental and animal welfare schemes, amendments to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) strategic plans, review of CAP strategic plans, and exemptions from controls and penalties.
