On the 14th of May we participated in a meeting of civil society organisations with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the protection of animals during transport. The meeting was attended by the Green REV Institute, Eurogroup for Animals, the International Movement for Animals Viva Foundation, Compassion in World Farming Poland, the Open Cages Association, Humane Society International and the expert side – Professor Andrzej Elżanowski, Green REV Institute Expert Council.

During the meeting we pointed out:

„Therefore, as REV we want to emphasise that this is not a debate about agribusiness profits, it is a debate about the safety of billions of people, protected at least by Article 38 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights (consumer protection), and the right to live in a clean environment and to health.”
