On March 11 this year, we had the pleasure, together with the Our Ombudsperson Initiative, to meet with the Ombudsperson for Children, Ms. Monika Horna – Cieślak. As part of the NGO meeting, we presented the demands of the Plant School Program, Future Food 4 Climate’s efforts to ensure access to healthy, plant-based meals in educational institutions.

In February of this year, we presented our activities to the Ombudsperson in an open letter, pointing out the need for change in the area of mass catering. „Access to sustainable, vegan meals and food education in the context of the climate crisis, biodiversity, public health, animal rights and human rights are fundamental to shaping schools and kindergartens as gas pedals of civil society and democracy. Schools build a space for preparing student persons to co-create, co-shape reality and create an environment in which young people learn, pursue their passions, engage, acquire competencies and knowledge. At the same time, educational institutions must uphold the rights of the child.”
