On 10 September, a meeting was held with Ms Barbara Danieluk, Director of the Department of Health and Prevention, Ms Małgorzata Kępa-Mitura, Deputy Director of the Department – Lublin City Hall, and Monika Kwiatkowska, Vice-President of the City Council, to discuss the Plant Based School Programme and the possibilities for joint initiatives for the residents of Lublin.

We discussed how we can work together for the health and quality of life of children and young people, as well as the need for adult education. A Plant School is not only about access to healthy, plant-based meals, but also about education about the climate, the environment and health.

When we say ‘Plant Based School’, we think of:

• the right to healthy, plant-based meals,
• responsible and sustainable food that is safe for the environment,
• fighting against food waste,
• building a conscious community – from pupils to local authorities.
