On 18 October, the Green REV Institute and the Future Food 4 Climate Coalition sent a position paper on the agri-food sector strategy for the years up to 2025 as part of an ongoing consultation. The position paper was supported by 99 civil society organisations within the Future Food 4 Climate Coalition. The consultation is being led by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, EBRD until 15 November 2024.

Prepared by the Green REV Institute, the position paper emphasises that we are at a crucial moment in which a transformation towards a sustainable food system is essential. The recommendations sent out call on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to target support to the plant protein sector and end funding for the livestock, meat, dairy and egg industries.
