We will be at Campus Poland of the Future!

As part of this year’s Campus Poland of the Future, the Green REV Institute will organise a thematic workshop entitled. „Nothing about us without us – about engagement for change in the food system”. The seminar will take place on Saturday 26 August at 14:30 on the campus of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. The workshop will focus on youth engagement and participation for food system transition. In an activist-expert group, we will talk about today’s, but also tomorrow’s challenges for a green, just transformation.

The workshop will be led by Prof. Magdalena Dudkiewicz. D. in social sciences, professor of sociology at the University of Warsaw, researcher, didactician and trainer in the field of socio-cultural animation, civic activities, local communities, social PR and implementation of research projects. Evaluator of social programmes.

The legal side will be presented by Bartłomiej Gawrecki – Board Member of the Green REV Institute, Leader of the legal team, PhD student (discipline of legal sciences) at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, lawyer. Passionate about business law, travel and sport. 

Young activists will speak about their commitment to change in the food system, in the climate debate:

  • Oliwia Myczkowska, Youth Climate Strike activist, ambassador of Our Future Foundation, Leo Club activist. Organiser of many events including the TEDxIIIMickiewiczSchool Conference and the School Climate Conference. In February 2022 she founded the NO PAIN IN YOUR BRAIN initiative, volunteer and activist of the Green REV Institute, participant of the Green Advocacy Academy;
  • Kacper Nowicki, founder of the Varia Posnania Foundation, Poznanian, President of the Youth Council of the City of Poznan 2020-2021. Student of European Administration at the European School of Law and Administration in Brussels;

The workshop will also be joined by the President of the WWF Poland Foundation, Mirosław Proppé, who is responsible for supervising the activities of WWF Poland and implementing the development strategy of the Foundation’s projects. Miroslaw Proppé is also Chairman of the Heads of WWF’s European Country Offices and Vice-Chairman of the Board of WWF’s European Policy Office. In addition, Miroslaw Proppé chairs the steering committee of WWF Baltic Ecoregion Program

Campus Poland of the Future 2023 will take place from 25-31 August in Olsztyn.
